Theron portrayed by Kellan Lutz |

The Theron family was not exactly what you consider a typical family. In truth, they were more than a little weird by human standards. Before vampires ever came out of the coffin, they knew of the existence of the supernatural because it ran in the blood. Castor and Pollux Theron were twins; they were identical but very very different. Castor was gifted with the family trait of magic but Sadly Pollux did not have the gift himself. For whatever reason he was a black sheep among the Theron clan. They knew all about the supernatural as they were raised in a supernatural family. Pollux did not have access to magic himself. So he made up for his lack of magic in a different way. He honed his skills at an early age and became a dangerous weapon.
The twins met Artemis Godosis when they were just children. She came from a magical family herself. Castor and Artemis hated each other as children but Pollux always liked Artemis. He defended Artemis when Castor picked on her. But as the years went by, the Castor and Artemis went from hating one another to falling in love during their late teens. But Pollux never stopped loving Artemis, even when his brother married her.
When Castor was 22 and Artemis 20, they found out that she was pregnant. The pregnancy had some complications and she went into labor early. Artemis died during labor and never got to see her newborn son. Castor was so heartbroken about the loss of the love of his life that he too had not seen his own son. He had not even given the child a name. Castor drank away his sorrow and it was a visit from his brother that he insisted that he at least see his son and give him a name. The drunken heartbroken man just shouted, "Call Him Pink Floyd for all I care." After the music that he was listening to at the time and that was what his son was to be named.
Castor had only seen his son one time, but the infant looked just like his mother. And the resemblance was too much for him and he never saw his son again. He went into a self destructive lifestyle and he ran with a vampire crowd who helped him forget about his sorrow. The vampires ended up killing Castor when they found out that his powers dealt with the undead. News that his twin was killed by vampires left a hatred for them by Pollux.
This also left Pink an orphan. The infant was in the care of his uncle Pollux and the rest of the Theron clan. Things were rather simple for Pink and his uncle Pollux. They lived a fairly normal life and the years went by fairly without incident. Pollux never forgot about his vendetta against the vampires who took his twin brother from him. But he put that on the back burner as he needed to raise Pink all by himself. As the boy started to get older, stranger and stranger things started to happen.
Dead animals started to rise from the dead around the boy. When he slept, they would be drawn to him. Pollux was rather good at covering it up and at destroying the zombie creatures. But he could not stop the boy from raising them. If Castor was alive, he could help his son control his abilities. But Pollux was a magic null and had no powers himself. At the age of seven, Pink was taken by his uncle to try and find someone who could help the boy learn control.
It was not very easy to find someone to train the young boy. Not many people had the magical talent to deal with the dead. They were far and few between and not many people who had the gift were talking about it. Even among the magical circles and supernaturals it was not really talked about. Pollux had to be careful. Even then, he could not find anyone to train the boy. So, Pink was put through more generic magical training. It was not easy; he was a typical energetic child who did not really care too much about clearing his mind and building shields and all that. He wanted to play with the other little kids. But Pollux was a strict care taker and he instilled great discipline in the child from an early age.
The boy and his uncle did not stay in one place for too long. Pollux also had his own motives for training the boy. He would need to prepare Pink for the harsh world and the chance that he may leave the boy on his own if he did not succeed in going after the vampires who killed his twin. Pink wasn't naive, but he was kept in the dark by his uncle. The boy had worshiped the ground that Pollux walked on and he believed everything that he told him. While Pink did not get the training he needed to raise the dead or work his necromantic powers. He did learn the basics to limit his accidental raisings. But you cannot stop his powers and what he was. Every once and a while the damn would burst and his powers would work on his own. While Pink received magical training from various Masters. His uncle also gave him combat and weapons training that started in his early teens. Pollux was a harsh teacher. He would accept anything but the very best from his nephew. While it was extremely frustrating, it did help better Pink.
The teen did still long for a normal life, being able to go to a normal school and doing things that a normal teen could do. That all changed of course when the vampires came out of the coffin. When the vampires went public, it was even more important for Pink to hide what he was. At least that's what his Uncle told him. But it was at that time that his Uncle was able to find an Animator who could teach Pink how to really control his powers.
The man that Pollux found to mentor Pink was not as powerful as the young boy. But he had started teaching the young man all that he had learned about animation in his years. Maximus Baxter was a rather cranky man. It wasn't that he was not very powerful, but more so the fact that he was alone in life. Max liked life alone with his books. He made money working as one of the first professional Animator companies in the country. Pink became Max's apprentice, but Max was rather strict about letting Pink do raisings on his own. After Pink passed his high school equivalency exam, he started working for Max full time. Not doing raisings just yet but doing paperwork and office work and answering the phones. That basic stuff. It took a long time before Pink was allowed to work his own cases. Max did teach him a few fundamental rules, one is to avoid vampires. To not show off and never try to raise friends or family. It was Max who started the trend of calling him Theron. He refused to call anyone Pink, let alone his apprentice. So to the world, Pink was now Theron.
Things were rather smooth for a while for Theron and his Uncle. He was working for Max and training with his uncle when the worst thing possible happened. The vampire that Pollux had vowed that he would take out one day. He surfaced in the town that they were living in. He was in the headlines for some fancy club that he opened up. This stirred things in Pollux that had been dormant for a long time. Pollux got his revenge. He killed one of the vampires.
At the time, the verdict about Vampire's rights were still up in the air. They had no precedent about killing a vampire. People were surprised that he was capable of doing it. It left Pollux in jail and Theron pretty much alone. The debate was whether or not killing something that was already dead was illegal. So Pollux sat in jail while the lawyers for both sides did there things. Theron had nowhere to go. So Theron did what any normal teenager would do. He went to college. His college years were actually rather uneventful. Theron flew under the radar and he actually enjoyed his time. It was the first time he really got to be normal.
It was in college that he fell in love for the first time. A cute boy in his biology class. He was the boy who took his virginity and broke his heart. After him, things were different. He was a bit more guarded and didn't do the love thing so much as the hookups. His college years went by fine and during his junior year. Maximus had a stroke and he was forced to leave college to take care of his old mentor. He took care of the man for a year before he passed away. Theron could not decide whether or not to go back to college or take over Maximus' business.
Theron's choice was actually made for him and sadly it was neither option. He was finishing up the last of Maximus' appointments. It was a contest over a rich old man's will. Basic stuff, should have been an in and our case. Except that there was another presence in the graveyard that night. A vampire by the name of Reese. It was never exactly said why Reese was there that night but the two crossed paths. Reese knew right away when he felt the cold electricity of Theron's power what he was. The vampire had to add Theron to his collection. The problem was that Theron didn't want to be added to anyone's collections. When Reese tried to roll him and failed. The vampire tried other tactics, like forcefully taking him away. But the cross that Theron always wore left Reese with a painful reminder that Theron was trained enough to have survived the fateful encounter. He left Reese a nice cross scar on his neck and Theron managed to get away. After that Reese was not too pleased with Theron. But the young necromancer made it out of town. He had spent the last couple of months on the run, hoping that Reese would not come to the east coast. Theron made his way to Boston; he was looking for work raising the dead in Bean town.
